ICOM Academy exists to:

• Strengthen professional capacities in all areas of museum work;
• Share global knowledge and best practices;
• Support inclusive, sustainable, and resilient museum development;
• Encourage exchange between professionals across regions, languages, and institutional contexts.

ICOM Academy is open to all museum professionals — curators, conservators, educators, administrators, students, and more. Some courses are available to the general public, while others are exclusively for ICOM members. 

ICOM Academy offers a range of learning formats to suit different needs: 

• Online and hybrid courses co-developed with ICOM's International Committees and partners; 
• Thematic modules on urgent and emerging topics in the museum field; 
• Workshops and fellowships that combine learning with practical experience; 
• Toolkits and resources that support day-to-day museum work. 

All programmes are grounded in ICOM's core values — ethics, diversity, inclusivity, and professional solidarity.
